Job Title: Electromechanical Engineer
Manager City: Kampala, Uganda
Operations Job Status: Full-Time/Exempt

We are looking to hire an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to manage our operations in the East African Region.
Electromechanical Engineer Job Responsibilities:
The Engineer to be based in Uganda will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining broad range of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems or components by focusing on safety, economy, reliability, sustainability and quality within the region.
Primary Job Duties:
· Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
· Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
· Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements
· Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
· Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
· Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
· Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
· Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
· Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
· Maintains product data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
· Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Education and Skills.
A qualifying candidate should have;
· Bachelor’s degrees in electromechanical engineering.
· A master's degree or higher is an added advantage.
· Having a strong technical background and a creative bent.
· Constantly developing new ideas and bringing them to life.
· Strength in math, science and computers is necessary.
· Frequently make presentations and draft technical instructions, so public speaking and writing are two skills worth having.
· Reporting Research Results, Attention to Detail, Emphasizing Excellence and Innovation.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems, ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The successful applicant must have a positive outlook and have the ability to multi-task. Customer service is the top priority of Kanasi Plascon.
Remuneration:
An attractive entry level will vary depending on the skills possessed.

Work Hours:
